Thank you for your interest in my profile.
Born and raised near Munich, Germany, I am currently living in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I like a lot to travel whenever it is possible and hope to provide you with an increasing number of clips from distant locations in the future.
My footage at Pond5 has been uploaded at the highest possible quality. Pond5 is my preferred stock site. Many of my clips are only here available.
Cameras:
I am currently using a Canon EOS 7D (HD 1080p and 720p, Photo time-lapse), Canon HV30 (HDV 1080i) and Canon EOS 40D (Photo time-lapse).
I have a series of DV 16:9 anamorphic clips, most of them taken with a Panasonic NV-GS500 3 CCD DV-Ccamcorder. Some others are downconverted HDV shots from the Canon HV30. They are all true widescreen clips and can be used as such without letterboxes, or be cropped to DV 4:3 without quality loss. You can download a short
16:9 sample for the NV-GS500 from my website.
During former travelings, I have been filming with 3 different Sony Digital8 cameras: TRV 110E / 130 / 480E. These -mostly hand held- shots have not been recorded for stock, but for pleasure :). Yet, some scenes might still be useful and I think I have priced them decently. Please note: The flickering upper border of the clips from the 110E is only visible on the computer monitor, but not at full screen TV playback. If you need to crop the border, e.g. for web use: 1% of the height is sufficient.
Post Edition:
I am using an Intel Mac Pro, Apple Final Cut Studio 2 for post editing my video clips and Adobe Photoshop CS4 for processing time-lapse images.
I am always striving to get things right in-camera in order to keep my clips as clean and flexible as possible. However, since Jan 2010 I am also making a bit more use of Apple Color, a dedicated color grading application inside Final Cut Studio. I am doing minor global adjustments of contrast and color balance on uncompressed source clips which do not leave any undesired traces in the footage compared to the original camera clips. If I should post edit a shot more extensively, I will state it in the clip description.
Just in case you didn“t yet know it: You can check a full screen still (i.e. a full size video frame) of every clip by clicking on the small thumbnail right below the flash preview. This is a very good feature of Pond5.
Best regards,
Stefan
