Point Lobos is close to the town of Carmel and has been called the "greatest meeting of land and water in the world" by landscape artist Francis McComas.
This shot shows the Monterey Cypress (Cupressus macrcarpa) that the reserve is famous for. This tree is an endangered species and only found in the reserve and close-by Pebble Beach.
