Description

Eight hour time lapse in an eight day grandfather tall case clock. (The clock must be wound approximately once per week.) Very interesting motion of the weights, which are the focal point. The right weight moves down slowly but constantly, it is the weight that gives energy to the pendulum. The left weight only moves hourly and in bigger step motions, it is the weight that powers the striker that chimes the hours. The pendulum swings back and forth because it's seconds beat is not as accurate as a modern day timer on a camera intervalometer used to create this video. This is an 18th century antique clock.
