Description
Probably our smallest butterfly, the Eastern-Tailed Blue Butterfly is not common but is rarely seen, thanks to it's size and tendency to fly just inches above the ground to avoid the winds which would otherwise buffer it about. It's a delicate beauty and a joy when you do come across one. This one is enjoying a stop atop a dew covered Crown Vetch flower.
