Gorgeous fields of wild flowers covering the arid landscape of northern South Africa in the Namaqualand region.
This area is world famous for its multitude of annual spring flowers in this desert region. The flowers are temperamental though! Very sensitive to sunlight they will only open when there is bright sunshine, when the temperature conditions are just right and between 10am and 3pm. The flowers always face the sun.
