The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is a mosque in Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates. It is the third largest mosque in the world. The sacred edifice is on a roughly 56-acre plot at the southeast end of the main island and is named after Emir Zayid bin Sultan Al Nahyan, a co-founder and first president of the UAE, his grave located on the property.
