Description
Inle Lake is located in the Shan state of Burma, part of the Shan hills. It is a freshwater lake inhabited by an ethnic minority called the Intha known for their unique boat paddling system with one foot. Buddhist pagodas scatter the lakeside. It is increasingly under environmental concerns because of an increased population and tourist demand.
