A river south of Hualien in flood in the aftermath of typhoon Sepat. The storm dumped over a meter of rain in places and brought winds gusting over 130mph. Hurricanes, typhoons and tropical cyclones are the most powerful and destructive weather phenomenon on earth and strike multiple countries around the world every year.
