Buses are plentiful in Beijing. Out of necessity, Chinese cities have invested heavily in public transportation. Bus stops dot the city and are easy to spot, but catching the right bus will take practice and a little knowledge of Chinese. Buses are an inexpensive way to get around the city. With a little guidance, visitors can easily catch a bus in Beijing. Do not expect an orderly line to form as the bus pulls up to the stop. Chinese people will gently, but firmly move to the curb and try to get on the bus first, as there are a limited number of seats, especially during the rush hours.
