Close up of a rice mill, which takes off the husk, separates the bran and polishes the rice, in rural north Thailand. This is a huge time and labor saving machine reducing the time it takes to produce a 40kg bag of rice from around 8 hours (for two people) to 15 minutes. Part of a series of a rice mill in a northern Thailand Karen hill tribe village.
