Description
This is a pan shot of some of the 27 large radio telecopes at the VLA (Very Large Array) near Socorro New Mexico. This famous location is the most productive collection of radio telescopes in the world for receiving signals from space. Over 600 scientists from around the world use this center. Each dish is 5000 sq ft in size and is on rails so each dish can be moved depending on the scope of the research project.
