Red Hibiscus Flower Blooming in Time-lapse

The Hibiscus, also known as the Rose Mallow, is a genus of flower favored by gardners worldwide. The trumpet shaped petals bloom spectacularly in a wide assortment of colors, including red, orange, white to pink, purple or yellow. The Hibiscus plants are grown not only for their beauty and scent, but also for their herbal properties and for use as a tea. Known by its scientific name, Hibiscus rosa-sinensis, most will know this ornamental potted-plant simply as a Hibiscus.
