Time Lapse Doppler Radar imagery of Hurricane Katrina which made landfall near New Orleans, Louisiana as a Category 3 storm on the morning of August 29, 2005 at approximately 5:10 AM CDT.

Hurricane Katrina was the costliest natural disaster, as well as one of the five deadliest hurricanes, in the history of the United States. Among recorded Atlantic hurricanes, it was the sixth strongest overall.
