Description

A World War 2 armoured range-finding turret at Noirment Point, Jersey that made up part of the German's coastal defence system.

The Chanel Islands were the only British soil occupied by the German's during World War 2 and Hitler wasted a large amount of resources building defences on the Islands to turn them into an impenetrable fortress, determined the British would want to reoccupy them as a matter of pride. However the Allied forces bypassed the Islands completely, concentrating on establishing a foothold in mainland Europe.
