Description
The Mendenhall Glacier is part of the Juneau ice field and a very popular tourist location with a federal park viewing building. The lake below the glacier has lots of icebergs and is great for rafting.
This area also has a salmon run so this means bears. The protected trail goes across likely bear feeding area. The boardwalk protects the bears from the people.
