Description
80% of the Alaskan bears live along the coast I've been told. The bears are also bigger than their inland relatives because they eat a much bigger amount of food, such as salmon. The black bears in this group live in the Anan bear preserve on the inside passage of Alaska, a short boat ride from the town of Wrangell. This reserve is run by the National forest service and daily permits to walk in are limited to 60 a day. You are limited to a platform viewing area which makes it difficult to shoot with a tripod because of visitors walking on the deck causing shaking.
Location: inside passage, Anan bear preserve , Alaska, United States
