The Saharane is the major annual Kurdish cultural event in Israel with thousands of participants which takes place in northern Israel near Lake Kinneret, and most cities.
The word Saharene means "to see, and to explore nature", and "excursion" in Kurdish.
It is celebrated with food, dancing, music with drums, Zurna flute and Oud guitar
