Description

Mayan woman in the traditional village of Zinacantan, Mexico weaving and embroidering. In this footage she is weaving a tunic that will take aprox. two months to finish. It will be worn by someone in the village or sold for about 15$.

The indigenous people of Zinacantan speak their own language, have their own religion and beliefs separate from the rest of Mexico. They make all their own clothing and grow flowers to sell.

The village is located in the Chiapas region of Mexico.
