Islamabad - capital city of Pakistan
Islamabad was built during the 1960s to replace Karachi as Pakistan's capital city. The planned, relatively modern part of the city is called Islamabad, but the more authentic, and chaotic, Rawalpindi is generally considered the cultural heart of the city. These days, the city is often associated with Pakistan's struggle against militancy and religious extremism. Although safety is of less a concern here than in places like Peshawar and Karachi, security is arguably the highest in the entire country. This clip bin contains videos showing Islamabad's diversity, from mysterious bazaars and chaotic traffic scenes, to the relative peaceful Shah Faisal mosque and more organized streets.
