Chinese wind farm
The Gansu Yumen Wind Project is a 49.3MW renewable energy wind farm located in the Yumen City of Gansu province, People’s Republic of China. The wind farm is made up of 58 wind turbines of 850 kW which are forecast to generate 107,872 MWh per year, displacing 106,556 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions annually. The wind farm generates electricity which is fed into the Northwest China power grid. The project contributes to the development of renewable energy in China and the reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The project not only supplies renewable electricity to grid, but also contributes to sustainable development in the local area.
