Joe, WX4ADX has been a radio scanning enthusiast for 36 years, starting at Age 10 with a Bearcat IV Crystal Controlled Scanner. That very radio scanner prompted Joe at Age 16, to became a Volunteer Firefighter & Emergency Medical Technician in his local community.

In his early 20′s, Joe taught EMS Radio Communications Skills to his EMS Squad in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. While there, Joe developed a mobile tone encoder that allowed Paramedic Squads to directly make contact with hospitals while enroute, without the assistance of busy dispatchers. Next, Joe moved to North Carolina where he became a Nationally Certified Air Medical Flight Dispatcher in 1988, graduating from the very first class.

In 1997 when the Uniden TrunkTracker was first introduced, Joe founded the first radio scanning group dedicated to Trunktracking, anywhere in the world called G.O.T.T.E.M.

Thru the 2000′s, Joe worked for (/\/\) MOTOROLA creating marketing programs geared towards Project 25 Products such as the MOTOTRBO and APX Series Radios.

Today, in addition to being a Professional Voice Over Artist, Joe leads the D-STAR Ham Nation Roundtable Net each Tuesday Evening at 10:15 PM Eastern. Please visit the Ham Nation page for additional information.
