Archival: The Winter Olympics

From January 25 through February 5, 1924, the first Winter Olympics were held in Chamonix, France with 258 athletes (and just 11 women!) from 16 countries competing across 16 events. The event has since expanded to include 92 nations and more than 102 events across 15 disciplines in 7 sports. In this curated editorial stock footage collection, discover vintage clips of slalom competitions, figure skating, speed skating, skiing, long hill ski jumping, ice hockey, and more from Olympics events from the 1920s through the 1970s.
