Panasonic GH3 - wow!

Looks like a great little camera for outdoors stock video. Seems that Panasonic really paid attention to the voices of the GH2 cult members.
"Maximum bandwidth of "72 Mbps (ALL-Intra) / 50 Mbps (IPB)." - no need to be hacked!

Hmm, $2000 seems to be the convergence point this year... With Nikon, Canon and Panasonic all within a couple hundred dollars.

Is this considered a broadcast quality camera?
cinecameratv 17 Sep 2012 19:02
@wideweb - With those specs it is very likely tha it will meet BBC specs. After all if the Panasonic AF100 with a ninja recorder is accepted by BBC; this new camera has very good chances. The general rule for BBC is that it can record at least 50 mb/sec. Then they evaluate noise, moire and rolling shutter.

I see. Thanks. What is the ninja?

ninja is an external recording device that can capture the "clean signal" from the HDMI and record it uncompressed, rather than recording in camera with the camera's compression.

I see, ninja recorder.
