Using Iphone 5 for timelapse

Hi everyone,
I am looking at using one of the paid timelapse features that will allow full HD to be rendered as a complete timelapse.
Does anyone know if it is technically the images would be accepted by Pond5?
Thanks!

If you are asking other artists their opinion, mine is no. Just because a camera or phone company advertises huge megapixel count does not make the photos or video quality. Point and shoot cameras are generally frowned upon being used professionally and stock footage is or should be professional. Quality is based on sensor size and lens and not the plastic body that hold extremely small sensors and lens such as cell phones. A positive is very newsworthy subjects. In the case of a once-in-a-lifetime shot or very newsworthy I would use whatever camera or cell phone I have available. Just my feelings, no cell phone video should not be accepted. Good luck.

I think its nearly certain that iphone footage would be unacceptable to the P5 reviewers unless it was of a really newsworthy subject . . . at least I would hope it was as the lens on the iphone is kinda small . . .

Mobile media could not be totally disregarded as there is an increasing trend in using such media in various commercial projects.

We do accept footage/photos from certain smartphones, as long as their composition, lighting, etc. meets the standards for quality.

The iphone footage is just as good as gopro. I guess it matters what you are shooting, like Ryan said.

Stability is a big issue. If you are shooting a static shot with very balanced lighting, you could make it look good enough for some purposes.
I have never used smart phone time lapse aps, but the biggest issue will be locking down settings to prevent automatic exposure and focus compensations, or your time lapse will have flicker and focus issues. You will need to have it set up on a rock steady tripod system. Really Right Stuff sells tripod mounts for smart phones that look efficient.
I would really like to see your product so please post it here when its done!
