Camera takes the c-mount, put whatever sensor you want, its cheaper when its from the manufacturer.

you can program your computer to make cineform raw, or tell the camera to make jp4 or rgb....whatever. SOOO if you want raw fine, if you want h246 (like me) then fine just change it.

Want 2k? or just HD? whatever...

Interesting idea. I really like the concept, but from the sample videos I saw, it is less then ideal at this stage of the game- you can get a better looking image out of a 7D or a 5D for cheaper, and there is no comparison to Red footage. I hope they succeed - open source would be great. I just do not see it working yet ...

Since we're talking about RAW. Seems Canon has released a new firmware to shoot uncompressed.

Canon RAW is the true RED killer.... And Canon is giving it to ALL CANON cameras, not just the 5D.

And did you see the 160 fps!!! Fricken-A
