How long was the life of the plant while you filmed it?

It was quite short time - took about 12 days and I have ~15000 still images.

Are those stills of the plant or of something else?

Stills are only of the branch of opening and dying Lily flower.

For such clips vertical composition looks better in comparison with the standard HD 1080p (scale in AE is nearly 90% against 50% in horizontal composition):
