Mark, no french people in it :-P
My clip is labeled 'where's the party boat'
that is my brother in the video, and the balloons were his daughters and he got stuck carrying them around.

Are you guys twins? I thought it was you in the video.

We are both professionals, so yes, in a sense we are twin actors. :-). Not award winners like yourself and jogging beach boy Don, but working our way up there.

speaking of which, if anyone has a clip of themselves remember to put p5artist as a keyword in one of them... ;)

Okay, I'm in. I had a hell of a time deciding between my entry and this CG clip I'm really proud of:

I decided the real water had a better chance...

P.S. Are these contests official yet? Are there prizes? How will I know if I win? Thanks in advance...

No they aren't official, Tom Bennett and Marcus seem to ignore them. lol!
The weekly prize is a brand new toaster oven...no actually there is no prize. :(
Its just a way we can critique each others work in a positive way, by the way I like that CG water clip, it looks like you used like 4 displacement maps, very detailed. nice.

I'd say Tom and Marcus are gonna discuss the feasability of weekly contests before they address the issue in here. Such things have to be carefully considered in order to avoid loopholes and snafus. Ironstrike, I looked at your stuff and you must be my long-lost twin. I'm pretty sure we even prefer the same softwares, especially for 3D animation. My "liquid" entry is actually from a different one though. Only one preset displacement map was used, and it's the best open water algorithym I've ever seen. I have a question for you: In your "Chaos and Mayhem" entry, did you rig that handheld motion yourself? I love the way you composited the photos with the Pyrocluster effects, I do that kind of stuff constantly. I also cut up photos into spatial layers like you did with that "Canyon Special CG" clip. We should work on a clip together sometime, we seem to think exactly alike...

Ok, here we go.
1. Beautiful Fluid by Mark. This is a great presentation of fluid.
2. Woman at fountain by Jake . That is one great fountain and Delores is fluid and makes it all beautiful
3. Rainbow water by Norman. Who could pass on a beautiful rainbow.

Damn, I thought I'd at least snag a top three spot. My entry just begs for a "Jaws"-type movie title along the bottom, lol. Seriously, all entries were good. Keep it up, everybody.
