Remember this is a cheapy American product, made in China.
What do you expect from this cheapy little toy? You play it for a hour, may be lose it in the air, just buy a new one.

Hmmm...not so keen on tossing $500 away (camera and card not to mention footage). At least footage sales have paid for my Hero3, but sadly not the Hero3+. (Based on clips sold by each camera). These things CAN look brilliant. Truly amazing sometimes.

What is or means POS?
Since i have the AX100 i never used my Hero3+ again, but on tours with different or difficult weather conditions i take it with me for security because i can use it still in the rain or else or put it in water, ...or deposit it anywhere for a record. As the little cam needs no much extra space in my camera bag it makes sense to have this toy.
When Hero4 makes 4k with 30frames i'm sure to buy one and upgrade, but i'm not in hurry and battery pack and LCD pack from Hero3+ must still work with it. I only hope that the color of the 4k shots will be better and correct. 4k records from my Hero3+ looks as if they have only 50% color. That's the only issue, all other works fine!

I wouldn't buy GoPro4 before Rev. 2 is available. The original firmware is always a bag of bugs.

It looks interesting, and it probably will be for those who shoot lots of action stuff. I bought a Hero 2 a few years ago, with lots of additional gear, and honestly never really used it. Doubt that I'll purchase this one, maybe if the old accesoires fit on it.
And I guess 'POS' would freely translate as 'Piece of Sh*t'. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

If you're not using ProTune on your Hero3 or 3+ you are throwing away half the value with regard to image quality (although I learned the hard way it's not for low light situation) Must be color corrected.
Hero 2 made useless footage as far as I am concerned, unless it really was a high action/sport POV shot. Just too distorted for my taste, but hey, shots from that apparently sell on P5.
Shots made with the POS (yep, that's it) Hero sell for $150 several times, and also at SS. But thee are cherry picked, and represent the tip of the footage iceberg.
I hear you wideweb, on the rev. 1 of GoPro, is it "always" like a trend, or "always" as the Hero3 debacle? Even with the firmware updated, my Hero3 was being POS. Yes, the main thing is that it would go out of record randomly. With any card, even the card that the Hero3+ was using flawlessly.
What is you Chinese GoPro in a drawer, patuwe97? You didn't buy one of those knockoffs, did you? Or is it a Hero2/3? Just curious.

China of course, but who isn't? Just asking for more specifics since being Chinese made was used as a factor in two posts.

I just bought a no name Action Camera which has the same accessories of GoPro, and am very satisfy with the quality. But really seldom use it, so it is in my drawer.
No chance to go under water or fly in the sky.. :D
