Here's an idea Marbury: Why don't you put your questions to Magix support or their forums? More likely to get your questions answered there than on this forum where very few people are using that software.

Marbury,
First check if you really have audio. Ok, I presumed you have audio. Can you hear the audio when playing in Magix?
Above Magix's Timeline there is an icon like a "Chained" and another is "Un-Chained". You should high-light your clip by clicking it on the Timeline, click "Un-Chained", you should see another audio line underneath, if you don't see it, then you don't have audio.
** Long time ago I had the same feeling as yours, that the clip rendered by Magix is more contrast (even you can see from the Thumbnail), but after one day or so the difference disappeared. (Don't know why) Now when I look again on my Magix clip and original, Magix's clip are generally lighter, not more contrast.
If this little change bothers you, then you should really go for CC for $50 monthly subscription. But you will still have tons of puzzle and question about CC. As I am now using AfterEffects 6, I know what I am talking about. Magix is a much user-friendly program.

There is def audio on all the videos when I view them outside Magix. Can't get anything in the software, chained or un-chained. Have tried Magix support but no response so far.

You should view it inside Magix, hear it view it. When you unchained your clip, do you see another audio line underneath your actual clip???

Jason,
I test export one clip to Mpeg4 with my Magix, came out 1/3 of my original clip size, black color and blue water washed out a lot, it is practically un-usable. Export to MOV h264 looks very nice..
To find out audio track, just click on the clip, click ungroup then you will see if the audio track appeared undernearth.

Thanks Jason, have seen that vid before. I have left a question on the Magix forum but no reply. Still no reply from support.
Basicly, if I un-group there is an extra yellow lane underneath the video file but not showing any waveform. I have checked everything (audio not muted etc) and for the life of me I cannot get audio to play.
