Here is the test video I shot. If you view it full size you can notice the jiggle or vibrations I was talking about. I'm going to shoot more but I think some of that is me not balancing the camera fully. If I touch the camera while using it I don't feel any vibrations so I don't know what that may be from.
At the end I duplicated the same footage but stabilized it in Premiere about 2% and that took out those small vibrations.

All in all, I'm pretty pleased with this little gadget. I could never get stable footage with my steadicam.

It works pretty well...nice gadget to have...i like yhe ground pov that usually is hard to get with a standard steady cam...

Thanks Jake.

I see the jigggling. The whole movement is pretty smooth, but when you are turning angle, it seems that the motor is trying to catch up with your action movement/turning. It look a bit obvious.

another interesting review right after your video in Youtube.

## Nebula 4000

Jake,

I watches this review as well on Youtube. It seems you got a better choice than Nebula 4000. Yours is cheaper and easy to manage, no need to set-up. ;)

This Nebula 4000 review also good review.

Shot these yesterday. I used a small amount of Warp Stabilizer in AE to smooth out the shot.
I'm going to email the company that makes the Beholder and ask if the vibrations are inherent to this model and is it not an issue with the larger model they are releasing.

I'm still really excited about using this more. At $500 it gives great production value to any shot. And I'm not worried about the few minutes it takes to add stabilization in the videos.

Even if the vibrations weren't there I would still use AE to stabilize it more since you still see some up and down movements from you holding the rig with your hand while walking. That would be a problem with any of these hand held stabilizers.

Jake,

Fantastic shots. They will sell well.
Is the camera stabilizer is on when shooting?
JHDT_Productions 8 Jun 2015 14:07
No, I'm using a Sigma 19mm 2.8 lens. There is no stabilization on this lens.

Hi Jake, I'm liking this gimbal and thinking seriously about getting one, how do you find the weight holding it with your GH4 how long do you think you could you hold it without getting too fatigued?
JHDT_Productions 8 Jun 2015 18:58
I think all total camera and gimbal is a little over 4 pounds so I think I could hold it for a long time.
I'm actually thinking about adding some weight to the bottom of the handle to see if I can take out some of that walking motion because I think the total package is too light.
Normstock 8 Jun 2015 19:37
Thanks, interesting comment. I know the real steadicam fanatics adopt a (silly) walking style to remove that bounce : )
JHDT_Productions 8 Jun 2015 19:46
Yeah I was thinking about that last night.
The Grocho Marx walk I believe they call it.
