While I don't push range that often I like to have it when I need it! GoPro range is way less then my P4

Good point CraftedShutter ... range is also a consideration when flying around trees, corners, buildings, ravines, herds of mosquitoes .... nothing as lovely as having RTH kick in because some stupid tree jumped up between your controller and craft. 1 kilometer is NOT very far at all, so this would definitely be for low and close, with clear LOS.

You could always try ProDrone Byrd if you really want a GoPro ... I've been watching that one, but the "Expert" version or whatever they call it, that is not out yet, supposedly RX100m4 capable ... I hate those companies that announce a product 2 years before they are supposed to release ... by the time they do, it's outdated, and knowing that, they delay the release ...
But then companies like DJI and GoPro release anyway, and we curse them for not being properly ready ... DJI has the corner on that action, for sure.

Agree ... I purchased a SoloShot 3 almost a year ago and just like GoPro have missed promised release over and over and over. They are now saying "probably" end of Oct or November. Same goes for GoPro, announcement and release will be at least a month between.
