Why Canon will rule the world...

So, for whatever reason... Most of the photographers in my local camera club are Nikon shooters. So I call Nikon to see if we can get a rep to speak at our convention next year. They promise to come up with someone, then never return any of my calls for the past month now. I call Canon this morning and within 30 minutes they call me back and offer me 4 speakers at their expense.

So guess who will be showing off cameras at our convention? :)

Call Nikon and tell them never mind, Canon actually returns calls.

I'm just gonna stop calling them and see if they ever do call me back. If/when they do, I'll tell them nevermind...

I'd call Nikon and say never mind, Canon is sending speakers at their expense anytime we need them. I'm sure if the Nikon "employee" cares that will be a kick in the pants for him.

Sony, Panasonic and Kodak no longer have reps that do "small conventions" (we'll probably only get about 2000 people at ours). But Sony is willing to send literature.

Looks like we will be getting a lot of Swag to give away (Photodex is sending me two full copies of ProShow Gold).

Sadly... I am not in charge of our convention... Otherwise I would have told Nikon to buzz off, but our club president and 70% of the "photographers" in the club are Nikon people. Nikon called back and said they'd send someone, so our president canceled the Canon speaker.
