Duplicate files

Does POND5 detect duplicate uploads by looking at the file name that we use on the uploads?

and file size.

There was a time not long ago where if an upload failed due to internet or whatever, and I tried to repload it without changing the name, it would fail (after uploading it all again) but changing the name significantly made it work. Sometimes I had to re-transcode the file (although it was the same size) Thankfully they've fixed that!!!

Damn ... spoke too soon. A 4.5 GB file uploaded today had a problem (Filezilla FTP) and restarted, resulting in error in uploads page. HOURS later after Filezilla reported it success, Pond5 flushed it.

It just disappeared.

That pisses me off. Basically whatever it is, it wastes tons of time, and since most files never sell, it's preventing uploading of other files, which may or may not sell, so makes the game a little less fun.
