Negative keywords

Seems like the 50 keyword limit doesn't keep you from having more than that... how does it work? I just had -3 keywords, meaning I had more than the 50.... and it didn't give me an error. It accepted and the files are waiting in queue.

What happens when they run a script to only allow 50? do the last 3 go?

No one else see this as a problem ?

I guess, and it is only a guess, the system ignores the supplementary (negative) keywords.

Should be an error that doesn't allow the save.

There's no error.
It happened when one or more of your tags exist in "assistant tag" like:
real time
time lapse
slow motion
extreme close up
close up
medium shot
long shot
extreme long shot
zoom in
____

male
female
baby
child

and so on....

"assistant tags" doesn't count in those 50 tags.

As it used to be in the good old days...

@SevArt Sorry but those assistant tags do count when being used along with your keywords. Maybe you should check the counter as you check off those boxes.

@Jason Try it first and then you argue. Count and NOT!
Put 50 different tags and after that click on some "assistant tags" ...but not all
I test it now and I can add 50 normal tags plus 17 more assistant tags ...
Total= -17

Anyway, if you add to much when you try to save an error will appear
"Keywords: Field must be max 1000 characters."

@SevArt Before they changed the key word limit it use to be 25 keywords and check boxes did not count. So you could check every assistant tags box and it wouldn't change or add to the 25 keywords.

Now when P5 changed the number of keywords to 50 the assistant tags check boxes also counted as a keyword. And yes you will get a error if you've gone over 50.

Edit one of your clip...an offline clip.
Add 50 whatever tags you want until you have 0 tags to add and then add more assistant tags from different area (People, Camera, Time and Place).
When I test yesterday I could add 17 assistant tags over those 50 normal tags.
Counter says -17!!!
I think this is how the system works...and is not an error.
I personally don't use assistant tags at all ...
