Thumbs

Hello all,
I have noticed that several of the thumbnails for my pending and uploaded clips seem to go away. They go away, then come back, and other clips are then left without thumbs.
I set the offsets for the still frames several times. Sometimes they take, sometimes they take and then revert back to gray thumbs.
This does not seem to happen with any reason. It happens to both .mov and .m2t files. None of the clips have black or gray frames.
Should I worry about it at all, or wait until after curator review?
Thanks!

hummm, with nearly 5,000 footage clips here at P5 I've never "lost" a thumb view before. Sorry no idea what's happening with yours.

Mizamook,
I have seen the thumbs revert back to the original system captured thumb after changing the offsets. This has occurred during the first week or so after submission and modifying of the offset.
I suspect if a CDN is being utilized to serve the thumbs that it takes a while to have it updated across all servers....
I've only observed this happening when modifying the offset frame for the thumb.

I was advised not to worry about it until after review, but I did notice a strange occurance.
While I was editing the info on one of the clips with the gray thumb, I noticed a strange flicker as it looped. Upon examination, it became apparent that there were indeed several frames (gray) at the beginning, and then a single frame where I could see the image faintly, like the middle of a fade, and then the next frame was normal. I immediately looked back at the file on my drive and found no such problem!
Today, I noticed a flicker at the end of one of my clips. This is a larger clip, and it problematic to re-upload. The flicker seems to be to black, at the very very end of the clip, and does not affect the quality or usefulness of the clip, so I am not going to worry about it, although it is a little strange that the clip is definitely clean on the drive.....I want to be accurate about these problems, and state herein that I did inspect my clips very closely, frame by frame, to make sure that whatever problems may crop up are not simply carelessness on my part.
