Small file > bad quality?

If I use really good quality, my clip sizes are big, some are around the 900 mb, is this too large? And do I need to lower the quality then? But I think it's a pity when the quality is not on his best.

In general, clips prepared with the MotionJPEG or PhotoJPEG codecs should be at 75% ("high") to 85% quality setting. In most cases, this is indistinguishable from the "best" (100%) quality setting.

File sizes should be below 500MB unless you have a REALLY good reason for going over :)
