Sorting through huge galleries.

OK, here's an idea / suggestion, that might take a bit longer to implement, but I think in the long run it might be essential:

I currently have a bit over 100 clips here and I already find it hard to navigate through my clip list (MyPond/Uploads). I shudder to think of what that page will look like when I've got all the 2500 (and counting) clips online that I hope to have soon.

So, a few suggestions:
1) Set a configurable value for the maximum nuber of clips to be displayed on one page. (You should keep the option to display all, though.) Make that saveable.
2) I'd like to see an option to display associated files as one entry only. In addition I'd like to see an option to have associated files grouped in the list, no matter what sorting is applied.
3) Filters. Something like "Display only waiting to be reviewed", "Display only clips that need tagging", "Display only clips that are online.", "Display only clips that sold at least once"..., "Display HD1080 only", "Display anything except PAL DV"... Obviously those filter options should be possible to combine (f.ex. only PAL that needs tagging)...

There's more to come, but I need to cook diner now. CU L8er

These are all great ideas. We're cooking up a new interface for the Uploads page which will contain all that and more. So keep the suggestions coming!

I am quite keen to see a button that syphons off other people's royalties into my account, can anything like this be done ?

Perhaps a pulldown menu to select who you would like to steal from and then enter the amount to be stolen before hitting the 'OK' button.

What do you think ?

Tsk...!

;-)

Here's one thing that might be possible to implement sooner that a full new interface: Could you split the display of clips not yet online in two separate tables: Waiting for tagging on top and waiting for review below?

And another thing: That pulldown with the options (apply template, associate...) - could you place a COPY of that on top of the page or just below the not-online-yet table? Scolling down some hundred clips for each associating, templating and so on is quite a drag... ;-)

For the new interface:
4) Filter by category

5) Filter by keyword

6) optional spell checker for description and keywords

7) Selecting preview frame when tagging clips

8) Unless already implemented: Templates that can UNCHECK checkboxes but leave others alone. (F.ex: Uncheck "daytime" and check "nighttime" but leave all others.)

More to come, maybe...

Any news on this? With over 650 clips online, the page takes ages to load...

I've completely forgotten about this. I'll do [most of] these things tomorrow.

You have seen the
View: [Offline clips |V]
dropdown at the top on my_uploads? It should make it bareable to use for the time being?

Best regards,

Yes, that makes editing new clips quite painless. :)

Sorting through accepted clips, arranging them into clipbins and so on, takes quite a bit though.

Hi, Markus!

Please leave an option to view ALL clips in one 'Uploads' page when you'll find another solution Varius asking.

It takes around 30 sec to load the 'Uploads' page containing all my 501 clips. I like very much to see all my clips on one page and it is easy to mark them and include into ClipBins or do other operations.
