to raise the awareness of the rating function you should embedd it into the flv-player and pause in the end for some seconds. the 'audience' may rate easier there. after a few sec. the loop begins again.

Great ideas, thanks! We'll be making some preview player additions soon, and are also working on amazon style rec's.

if there is a rating option is should be by P5 curators or buyers only after they have purchased the product. Too much probability of artists rating their own or using "alliances / friends" to increase rating of products. rating is a tough thing to do and keep it honest.

Pause at the end of the clip could be problematic for loopable clips when client want to see that this clip i really loopable

No need to pause the previews. Just let them loop as Motion_Poland suggests. Can't people rate an item without altering how the previews work?

Here is a suggestion for improved functionality of the site for sellers:

Create an additional delete button for our uploads area. If you've ever made the mistake of uploading duplicates on any kind of scale you can appreciate how frustrating it is to delete those one-by-one. Sure a confirmation box should appear to make sure that the contributor is aware their selections will be deleted from Pond5 with the click of the "affirmation" button (whatever Pond 5 wants to call it).

I agree with mo_po the seamless loops are a problem. But a single pause and a bit longer would fix it. DO YOU LIKE THIS CLIP? ***** rating the clip like this would be easier.

who really uses or cares about the rating? this isn't youtube.

Are there any intention do pimp the external player, too?
config skincolor and stop autoplay are my most urgent suggestions.

Are those Bin icons available at other sites, too?

FractedUp - You can delete clips in bulk prior to sending them to the curator cue. Use the deleted rejected function on the drop down tab. Maybe this should be renamed just DELETE. jHD, the bin icons function is only created (that I know of) as a independent script at places like iS.
