BHphoto has reduced significantly the price of of the Canon 60D ($661). This may mean tnat the 70D is just around the corner.

I do not expect that the new 70D will have better video than the 60D, just the same bad video constant auto-focus as the T4i.

Until Canon (and the others) solve the moiré issues in-camera, I feel getting a new DSLR to shoot video isn't worth it.
I just don't understand why they don't see this as a problem that should be fixed. Other than leaving it as-is so they won't cannibalize their more expensive cameras that don't suffer from this problem.

Yes, moire is a HUGE problem with DSLR;s and also the mirrorless GH3. So many beautiful shots ruined by my T2i. Never had this problem with prosumer and consumer good camcorders.

DSLR's are photo cameras first and video cameras second and that will never change. You have a choice either buy a video camcorder or stick with a DSLR and complain about moire instead of how to work around it. Remember also that camcorders have problems with moire to.

60D arriving in a few days and will also buy the mosaic engineering filter. Then I will start saving for a BMPCC.
