New Camera FX30 or Blackmagic 6k Pocket Cinema II

I have Sony and Canon glass already and am trying to decide on a new camera to get back into video. I'll probably be shooting tripod locked shots and timelapse, at least to start. I don't think I need full frame for the added depth of field or night shots. Are these cameras basically equal (obviously different strengths, internal raw and af) or is one much better for shooting stock? What would you guys recommend? Or something else like a used a7iv, zcam 6k, something else?

Those sound a little overkill. It's the content of your vids, not necessarily the gear. I'm shooting with a Nikon Z50.
Tough to say how shooting the same content with a 6K Pocket Cinema II would up my chances to license my stuff

I guess just peruse other contributors footage, see which ones appeal to your vision and check their profile to see what they're shooting with

I have footage from various Sony's, Canon's, Blackmagic 6K, and a Red Raven, and the things that sell don't have much to do with the camera. It all comes down to the content you shoot. Some of my best sellers have been from a crop sensor Sony camera over my more expensive full frames. Timelapses, it doesn't really matter the camera as it comes down to your processing, quality, and content. So I would say get whatever you feel most comfortable with and excited to use. They will all do a great job, the rest comes down to what you create with them. I shoot what I love and most is wildlife on the move. I need focus tracking and I want slow motion. My Blackmagic couldn't keep up with what I really wanted, so Sony is what I mainly shoot now.
