Photography Views ansd Sales

I'm new to stock on this site but I notice that there is not much activity on the still photography front. Views seem to be low and sales lower.

I know that my images have only been here a short time but what is bothersome is the pictures here for a much longer time are not doing well from what I have observed.

There doesn't even seem to be a thread for photography.

The short video and music clips are excellent but I don't see much evidence that photography is more than an extreme afterthought.

Just thought I'd try to get some feedback about what is going on.

8 Million photos, don't expect your photos to be found often unless they are really on-of-a-kind captures. With numerous other stock photo sites there are lots of options for photos. You only have 16 photos on line, the odds are very poor with 8 million choices. And at your $10 or less pricing, your profit will still be very small. This is why P5 is the best stock FOOTAGE agency anywhere. Good luck but you are probably doing about as good on the photo side as anyone.

It really is a percentage game, while quality matters, it's important to address the quantity of product on offer as this increases the dimensions of the net you cast net.

I have sold 2 photos so far and started around 2 months ago but I have a large portfolio of footage so both Rekindle and Overhead are right! Just keep shooting and have fun.

I know that it is too soon for my images to be downloaded. My question is why are photos in general very slow sellers. I have looked at other people's work and there is not much happening for them either. Most images have five views or less and no sales.

I have some new work in Pending queue so I will be building up my portfolio.

p5 just recently started photos, so I imagine their customer base is small compared to ss and istock

Don't know what it sold for but the lowest price option is $131.25

There have been a large number of photos that have sold at very high prices.
