Could we have into our accounts a list of people we referred?

Click on "Financials". And you'll see a section with:

Your Referrals who had transactions (all of them)

Click on the "All off them" link and you'll get a list of people who registered from your referral link.

How effective is a referral link in tracking new sign-ups? I have a website through which I am sure I have referred a few people but they havent shown up on my records. Even though they've followed my link, do people have to type it into the referrer slot on the sign up page or will i still get the credit if they leave it blank? Marcus?

You can test this yourself. If you use firefox,
Tools/Options
Privacy tab
Show cookies
Search: pond5.com

Remove the pond_cookie_referrer cookie. Now when you click on a referrer link, the pond_cookie_referrer cookie should be set again.

If you're logged out in firefox and you go to https://www.pond5.com/de/index.php?page=new_user, the referrer field should be set with your cookie.

However. If the referred clears his cookies every now and then, this might be cleared. The user might also override this referral value with something, but if it's an invalid username like "your mama" etc it's supposed to be ignored.

If there's a situation where you think you should be the referrer of someone just drop us a line and we'll try to sort it out.

Best regards,
Marcus

Ah sweet it works Marcus. If someone enters the website name in the referrer, could that also be tracked to me? If that's the case, I had better enter my website on my account details.

No, right now it's just a case insensitive search for the username. I've been thinking of adding a search for the IRL name too but haven't got around to it yet. Adding a search of the web site would make sense though.. hadn't thought of that. We do however log illegal (as in "doesn't make sense") entries and basically no-one has entered an url, so I'm not sure it would help anything.

Best regards,
Marcus

ok no worries Marcus - yeah i think a search of URL and related words would help. Say for example the website is www.totallyinasanestockfootage.com, 'totally insane' may be another phrase worth checking. but anyhow, i may not have missed anyone, so never fear. by the way, love the support here - its amazing.
