Upload Problems

Hi
Is anyone out there experiencing problems uploading footage. I am using a Mac on OSX 10.5.8 and have been uploading my footage without any problems until the site redesign. Has anyone else experienced similar problems or have any suggestions as how to rectify the issue.

Many thanks

Nigel

I have had two problems lately, using ftp I get the same file uploaded multiple times, and if I use the Upload Button I have to click on the the + symbol next to the word upload, the rest of the button is not linked. Both not very big deals.

What are you Experiencing?

Hello Nigel, I'm using ftp3 at the moment through FileZilla and there are no issues. What's the problem?

Hi Sefhoffer & Pederpad
I am using the standard upload page, either drag and drop or file upload. I found an older version of the pond5 site and even that will not work. Nothing has changed this end, same computer, same codec, so I guess it has to be a recent change to the Pond5 back -end. When I attempt upload a footage file I get an error message and it sops the upload, very, very frustrating.

Thank you both for getting back, much appreciated

Nigel

Don't know why you're getting that message. It could be browser related, or you could miss a plugin. If the error message keeps appearing, I would try FileZilla and use 'ftp' rather than the standard upload page. Ftp is probably the easiest and most effective way to upload (for me at least). Good luck!

Nigelb, are you sure you´re on OSX 10.5.8, the current version is 10.8.5. Would advise you to upgrade if you aren´t!

I am on Mac and use the Upload New File way all the time without issues. Started to use Google Chrome browser when the new version 2 was online. Safari don´t work very well with the new P5, at least for me!

Hi
Thanks to everyone for getting back. I have successfully uploaded via ftp using FileZilla (thanks Stefhoffer for the tip) so all is groovy. I should have used the ftp upload ages ago, it seem a lot quicker.

A huge thank you again

Nigel
