Mp4 or mov? What prefer buyers?

Photojpeg at 100% is a 4:4:4 and that's why the files are that huge.

H264 is easy editable on a contemporary machine. But, if one has problems working with h264 one may convert it using MPEGStreamclip to an easier to work with codec.

Cheers!

Who is saving PJPEG at 100%? Should not be doing that.

Seriously, no support for adobe with prores? All extra encoding is just waste of time :\

Wonder what will Pond5 say about that. What codes clients prefer/download, any sale data to support it?

# I saw an artist who has 2 format of his clip, h264 and Prores. And he uses Canon 5D2.

So Mp4 is now acceptable? Hmmmm Is it selling? Mp4 is a good deliverable CODEC for a final presentation. It looks great and clients can run and project the file from virtually any device. Question is, does it hold up in editing? If a client needs to bring it in to After Effects, and run various filters, or have the clip undergo transcoding... How is it going to look after a couple of generations? How will the clip look in the final delivered project compared to a clip that was prepared using a more robust CODEC? The same 20 second clip that runs about 400M in the MJPEG format is running more like 30M in mp4 compression.... That can't be good, can it?

Could we hear from some people at P5? What tests have you run that have you now accepting Mp4?

Thanks
