I asked pond5 about this because I got only 2 and still being the optimist I believe it is good enough to sale, as people already use my music for documentaries and I came here because envato sucks a donkey d (pardon my language to any younger users)

So pond5 told me to make collections, I figure after reasoning with some editors they're bosses like it when they buy a pack that can be used on X amount of productions not just one time. But usually they end up just using it one time. But you know how bosses are with credit cards, so if you give them the bumper pack offering that will probably convert.

In terms of sample packs, I've sold 2 for 5 years on loopmasters and they won awards, these where exactly that mega packs of drum samples and bass for d&b producers. So I think this theory can work. It's just making the collections and staying fresh.

@BjornNilsson You don't need 1000 files to get sales, not even 100 (talking about music, not sfx). Obviously with just 10 files it won't be easy, the higher the better but it's not just that. My guess is maybe your music doesn't do particularly well on this site, each library has a different kind of customers and maybe your target is elsewhere. I'm just speculating but anyway you probably should be pacient.

Also, pricing low won't help you. Your tracks sound well produced, the regular pond5 customer will pay a little bit more. Those who want to go on the cheap choose AJ.

Pond5 is an ocean (get it?!?) of material. Lots of high quality tracks here as well as some of lesser quality, but sales come in gradually and remember that this is a stock site, and when selling stock, it is a bit of a numbers game unless you have the marketing power or get lucky with a hit..

Pease follow @RubenLozano's advice: increase your prices! Seriously, triple them, it means more income and in my experience you won't lose sales.

Yes, Pond5 takes a little bit longer to get started because they don't push new tracks as much as certain other sites. This is a very good thing as it means older material can sell for a very long time, it's not completely lost in search.

I agree with the price increase - up to $50 and you will not lose any sales. Up to around $80-90 you might lose some sales, BUT your revenue will still be much higher. $15-20 is a joke for good tracks. Also keep in mind that every license you sell here is an "extended" license, so you can't really compare the prices to that certain other site I know you're referring to.
