So very true. The 5D isn't a sports video camera.

There are sound issues with the 5d.
In my opinion The juiced link preamp is the best xlr adaptor because it has a low noise preamp and a greater signal to noise ratio. The current 5d firmware has AGC with hot gain (noise). That should be fixed in future firmware releases, but I prefer a seperate sound recording system anyway. I have a -70db noise level on my audio system. (I can record CDs)
The sensor size is equal to a vista vision film camera:

DOF is equal to film, and it looks like it was shot on Velvia50D 35mm film, sometimes I have to decrease contrast for it to look normal! LOL thats great.
IMO the 5d is the best video camera in existance. But it IS difficult for most people to use and it requires unusual technical knowledge to use it properly. It might be easier to get a normal camera.
