I see a lot of drone footage on Pond5. How much is legally done? Meaning how many people actually have the 333 exemption & a pilots license. If you shoot for hobby can you sell it legally on P5?

Not everyone here is from the U.S. I'm from Canada and can fly my Phantom legally as it's below the weight requirement for regulation by the Government, I don't do work for hire just fly for recreation with the camera turned on ; ). All countries seem to have their own laws or creating regulations for UAV's.

In European countries each country has its own regulations. Here in Finland the rules are quite moderate for pro drone pilots. In future the rules will be possible tightened..

I have a lot of footage that I shot as a hobby. But wondered if that footage is legal to sell in the USA.

HTP - yeap many people hang their cameras from balloons, pigeons, kites and cables or took their aerials before the regulations were in place. Understand?

UNDERSTAND! hehehe
You can also purchase footage from others that fly 'legally' and then sell it.
