Release procedures

Most of my footage does not have releases. I've started do a few now. The process of keywording and then going back to the upload page to attach a release then going back to edit and submit release is the one area of P5 that is just not very good. Is it possible to get the release upload and edit description all on the same page as the footage keyword page. Lot less chance of attaching a release to the wrong clip and sure would help us artists a lot.
Thanks.
Don
Thanks.

Also a REALLY helpful addition to the release process would be a library of your previously uploaded releases, so you could quickly attach them to multiple other files.

Yup, in fact a way to tie a release to multiple files at one time would be nice.

There is a really clean and smooth way to do this. When you see your list of to be tagged footage, click on the check boxes next to the ones that need a release. Then in the pull down menu at the bottom select "Attach Release" - this will attach the required release to all the clips that are checked. It only needs to be done once for many clips. I keep my own library of releases on hand on my side. Use this method, it is a great time saver. :)

Hey Andreas,
Yes after a couple of tries I see how that works now. One problem is if a clip check box is checked that already has an attachment the entire process fails instead of flagging the one file and completing the instruction. The obvious way of clicking the paperclip, uploading a release and then having to go back and edit the (1) number to show that it is a release is not very friendly. Thanks for the help

So if we go back and upload a release how do we go about deleting the tagline that P5 puts on saying there is no release and may be only good for editorial?

I had that once when I loaded the release after the keywording, and not the other way around. I emailed them and they fixed it. Now I attach a release before I do anything in the "edit" area. Not sure why that happens.
