Creating Video DVDs

The wife is after me to finish editing a bunch of clips I took of my daughter at various functions and create a DVD for her parents.

I got Adobe Encore when I bought Adobe CS4, but it keeps crashing on me and it's extremely complex to use.

Any other recommendations on a quick DVD authoring tool?

I'm researching both the Corel Video Studio product and the Magix Movie Maker product. Both of which seem to be easy to use and more powerful than I need (and they're cheap). Any thoughts on either of those?
