Hi all,
afther some digging in old dv material and working with some new HD material i uloaded a few files.
I was wondering if ( check my bins ) there is not to much of the same i a bin. I alsowonder if its better to create NTSC material here in europe instead of PAL.
Or doesn't that realy matter in HD?

thanks for your comment.

cheers Kevin.

For Europe you most definitely want to create PAL. Simple reason is the frame rate. Even in HD they use the 25/50 fps - simply this is due to the electricity frequency used in Europe (50 Hz Europe vs. 60Hz US) -

Tnx Vadervideo, i ame aware of that, thats why i wonder:)
If i make shots in europe like most europeans in PAL i have the same thing.
So making european shots in ntsc would give me a advantage on the us market right?

I would guess that might be the case. But keep in mind, it depends on the buyer's technical capabilities. Typically if it is a pro shop, they know how to convert from one to the other. But it may also help buyers that are not so savvy in doing conversions or having the "know how" in editing. Having spoken to several pros and not so pros, they appreciate it when it saves them the time, effort and/or work. :)

If you start from HD it always pays off to convert to NTSC and PAL. Since uploads are unlimited here - why not? Definitely worth it if you have the time. I don't know the story of about PAL to NTSC.
